Wow ok this was originally going to be a wanted add for a trade but I was so specific that I decided that it needs to be a contest because I said so OK?  O K.

BACKGROUND
Well, one of my new years resolutions for 2013 is to improve my art, and one thing I want to do to improve my art is draw people.  I don't want to draw other's characters all the time and characters from stuff I'm a fan of, I actually want to have my own character.  I have wanted a human character for super long time, but it turns out I am even worse at designing humans than I am at designing animals.  Lately I have been trying super hard with designing and it's just not working out.  It's really starting to give me the sads because I want a human character SO BAD!

DETAILS
There are many specific things I want my character to have, but for some reason I can't combine them into a character that works myself.  I want the character to be a male in his early twenties.  He can have any body type, I just don't want him to be overweight.  I want him to have ice powers where he can control ice and only ice.  He can't control snow or fly or anything like that, he can only control ice.  I want him to come from the past, because today's time period is so boring.  I want it to show in the way he dresses and looks too!  Make him look like he's from the time period you want him to be in!  Give him interesting hair, but not too complicated.  Maybe make it an interesting color???  I want him to be unique.  Give him many interesting characteristics!  Maybe he can be an amputee or he can be blind in one or both eyes!  You can give him cool piercings a tattoo or interesting mark, the possibilities are endless!
EDIT!!!
Ok guys that's the type of character I want, but feel free to enter ANY kind of character.  There's a high chance I'll fall for a character that's totally not like that, I'm just throwing out an idea I had.  Please make the character male though.  I guess that's the only real requirement.  I hate female characters for some reason...
But seriously I like any type of character!  If you want to look around in the galleries of people I watch, you'll probably find some ideas.  I love all of their characters ;u;  No copying though.

RULES
I don't really have many rules, but the rules I have are important and must be followed or I will not be able to count your entry.
You may not use bases.  All work you enter must be 100% your own.
All entries must be in a reference sheet format.  They do not need to be super complex, but I need to be able to see the entire character design.
You do not need to type a whole thing for the character, just tell me important things like where and when he's from.
Do NOT name the character.
Multiple entries are allowed.

DEADLINE
The deadline is February 4th, which means I am giving you a month to get your entries in.  If I feel like I haven't gotten enough entries by the end date, I will extend it another two weeks.  If by then I still don't have enough entries, the contest will be called off.

PRIZES
This is subject to change.  More prizes may be added if I can get some nice people to donate them.
I will draw you a digital flat color if I can get my tablet working.  If I can't get my tablet working, it will be traditional.  I will feature you on my DA page for a month and make a post featuring you on my tumblr.  I will also make you a traditional design, or a batch of 6 designs using a pre-made lineart on DA if you would rather that.
You will get 50 and a llama from me as well as a doodle dump on lined paper, and a pixel icon!
